An ongoing series of AI-generated videos in which two Italian brainrot characters reenact real conversations from a suicide-prevention helpline.
Conversations of care are narrated by absurd brainrot characters β the same low-grade visual grammar that fuels infinite scroll. Paired with such vulnerable content, the aesthetic feels less human than machine-generated.
These exchanges come from a dataset used to train large language models such as ChatGPT. The conversations themselves are not AI-generated β they predate the technology β but they were later used to train chatbots that many people now treat as substitutes for psychoanalysts.
We discovered the chats by accident, buried within billions of lines of text collected from the web. It remains unclear how such highly sensitive material ended up in a public dataset. All personal details have been removed to protect privacy.
