A 52-minute video slideshow composed of 1,276 photographs, all sourced from a used phone. Through an online open call, we connected with Hannah, who sold us her phone with full awareness that all the photos and videos it contained would be made public.
The photographs are presented in chronological order, without any editing, filtering, or judgment. We manually adjusted the duration of each photograph to mimic the pace at which we naturally scroll through images on our phones. The slideshow is accompanied by a single song, played on loop, which was also found on Hannah’s phone.
While some of these images may have been shared online, most have likely remained unseen, perhaps even by their creator. Like many of today’s photographs, they languish on digital devices or distant cloud servers—forgotten, buried beneath newer images, and eventually left behind with the arrival of new devices.
The floor is covered with a thick layer of memory foam, temporarily preserving the imprints of the spectators who pass through.
