We curated a special project for the Yerevan Biennial: Time Out of Joint. This online exhibition unfolded entirely on the Darknet—a remote “periphery” of the Internet, where time seems to slow down and pages load at an unhurried pace.
New works by six artists—Joshua Citarella, Clusterduck, David Horvitz, Vladan Joler, Amalia Ulman, and 2050+—were released every two weeks between October 2020 and January 2021. In true peer-to-peer spirit, the works were available to be viewed, shared, and copied. The exhibition’s title was borrowed from a novel by Philip K. Dick.
